This was a modest 120m2 split level late 70’s home in a quiet loop street not far from Kippax shops. With a growing family the client had the choice to move or extend, however as they were extremely happy with their current location they chose the latter.
The clients came to us very early in the process. They had narrowed down their options to 2 different blocks of land and consulted with us in order to determine which block to go with.
This new house was built in Uriarra Village, Coree. Due to the rural setting, specific building codes and regulations had to be adhered to.
Creating more living space may not necessarily be restricted to the internal footprint of a house.
Every room in this house was renovated and the house extended with a new master bedroom and ensuite, rumpus room and alfresco dining area.
Our clients wanted a unique, stylish carport. The external finish is a merbau cladding with a mini orb cladded door.
This was a large and challenging extension. We added a new living area and deck off the existing kitchen. We then created a new kitchen, laundry and bathroom.
A new living area, laundry, master bedroom and ensuite was added to the existing home. A privacy deck was built off the new main bedroom and an entertaining deck built off the new living area.
We sat down with the client to discuss their goals and what they wanted to achieve by extending and renovating their home. We were able to provide a plan that met their goals and dreams and met building regulations for their suburb.
Our clients needed more liveable space but with a small block the only option was a second storey extension. So we built a 3rd bedroom, ensuite and study on the second storey which now also has beautiful views overlooking Lake Burley Griffin.
